Just Some Words
Standing atop this mountain tall,
I gaze into the sky.
losing myself in the blue
and I forget the why.
Clouds tumble slowly over head,
adding substance to the light.
I close my eyes and breathe the peace,
and find I have no plight.
Losing faith can happen
to us all, here in this life.
But the trick to keeping faith at hand,
smiling at the strife.

What is it I believe?
I can't do this.
I don't think I can do this.
The lies.
The truths.
Indistinguishable from one
or the other.
Every glimpse,
of the past,
of the present,
a plunging, pulling of pain
and loss.
You stolen.
My world twisted.
The caring one,
I knew.
Now the cold one
in blue.
You always looked beautiful
in blue.
These memories,
these fantasies.
Torment and solace.
Goodwill and malice.
Glimpses of my present,
never seen.
Never given.
It's a confusing state,
to be alone.
Yet at the converse,
A bastardized,
rusted union.
Tinged with patina,
tarnished with misuse,
Lies pillows of lies,
cushioned me from truth.
Realization only frees me,
opens my eyes to disbelief.
and pain.
I've become angry.
Yet that anger only belies,
the engrossed,
constricting pain.
My loved one is gone.
It seems.
My guide,
my love,
An illusion.
A memory
Or was it.
I can't do this.
I don't think I can do this.

The Crystal Bell
A ring.
A clear, uninhibited ring.
The glorious tone,
flows over the scape,
almost tangible in it's essence.
I stand here.
looking over the once dark,
and desolate wasteland,
at now bustling,
teeming forest.
Life abounds,
there is light,
glorious light.
Shining through the branches
of the majestic evergreens.
Shimmering through the currents
of the many babbling brooks.
It's beautiful.
I've missed it.
I've missed it all.
The tower rising above it all.
I've missed it the most.
With it's bell.
The crystal bell.
Again it rings.
It's sound embraces
and nourishes.
and lightens.
This place has changed.
Changed very much in the weeks prior.
From tundra to waste.
Now to the wonderful forest,
and meadows.
Fantastic creatures skirt the shadows
of the ancient trees,
and cut the skies.
I'm home.

Joy and euphoria
A combination prized
and desired.
Cherish it
Hold it dear
For when you have it
Has meaning.
This mood I feel
lifts my soul,
to the height of the gods
And lets me soar like an eagle
I see nothing but the light
No darkness around
music and laughter
Dancing and singing
Loving this life I have
My feelings burst forth
from the vault I have within
And others too numerous to describe.
No fear to be had,
In this mental state of mine.
No anger,
Or loneliness.
Fore all my friends are with me
In spirit
and in reality.
The sun shines bright,
And the doors of possibility,
Swing wide at my touch.
And best of all,
No matter how quiet,
How alone I am,
In this state of mind,
There are no shadows,
and no footsteps
